1)Can I leave my aluminium outdoor furniture outside all year long?
This is the number one question we get asked. There are two sides to the answer 1)the aluminium frame and 2) the fabric squabs.
The frame:Yes, it is possible to leave your aluminium outdoor furniture frame outside year-round. Weatherproof outdoor furniture materials such as aluminium withstand rain and moisture without damage.
The fabric squabs: Our premium Sunbrella® and Agora® 100% solution-dyed acrylic fabric squabs are engineered to be fade and water-resistant, so they handle the NZ sun and rain beautifully. However, the organic material that lands on your squabs- dirt, pollen, bird droppings, detritus, dead leaves, pet hair etc – is what requires attention. These premium outdoor fabric squabs are unmatched in their performance, but they are low-maintenance, not NO-maintenance.
So, we ask our customers to meet us halfway! We sell only high-quality materials that are proven to handle outdoor weather. Just like your car, your home and your clothes, some basic but regular cleaning and attention from our customers will keep their outdoor furniture looking pristine for many years.
We always say to our customers that the best option is to bring your squabs inside ahead of a weather event and over winter when not in use. The second best option is to invest in custom-fitted high-quality rain covers which we sell. We have had rave reviews about our rain covers. One customer stopped by just to tell us how amazing our rain covers are! Finally, yes, you can leave your cushions outside all year long, and some of our customers definitely do this. However, you are likely shortening the lifespan of your investment, so this would not be our recommendation.
2)Can your squabs handle a shower?
Most definitely! They are water-resistant and will dry out quickly when the sun comes out again. With quick drying foam inners, gone are the days of the waterlogged seat cushions.
3) Does powder coated aluminium outdoor furniture rust?
No, aluminium will not rust. Aluminium is naturally rust-resistant, which is why it is such a popular option as a material for outdoor furniture.
4)We are coastal. Does your furniture suit our environment?

5)Does aluminium outdoor furniture scratch easily?

While not completely scratch-resistant, aluminium is more scratch resistant than other materials. The durable construction and protective coating help minimize the effects of everyday wear and tear. 6)Does the fabric stain easily and is it difficult to clean?
No and no! Sunbrella and Agora outdoor fabrics are highly stain-resistant. Known for its excellent stain resistance, these 100% solution-dyed acrylic fabrics are a popular choice for outdoor furniture. Our fabric back and seat cushion covers are removable, but we recommend that you clean your squabs with the covers on. Simply use a mild soapy solution and gently scrub the fabric with a soft brush or sponge. Let the solution sit for a while, then hose the squab thoroughly to remove any soap residue. Allow the air to dry in the sun. We often say- wash your squabs like you wash your car!)
