Our Outdoor Furniture, 5 years on: Feedback from Long-term Customers

This morning, I was grabbing a quick coffee at my favourite local (shout out to Ripe Cafe, Smales Farm) on the way to work and bumped into a friend I had not seen in a while. We talked kids, her recent house shift, and life in general. It was nice to catch up.  She also happens to be a customer and the owner of my Bask/’Linen Look’ outdoor corner sofa and coffee table, and she said, “ Kerry, I’ve been thinking about you as I’ve been meaning to take a pic of my furniture and send it to you. It’s coming up to 5 years and it still looks as beautiful as it did when I bought it!” 

Out of disbelief that it had been 5 years since her delivery,  I looked up her invoice when I arrived at work, and yes, in fact, she did buy in October 2020. I then remembered I also did an Instagram post of her set at the time…

Her feedback certainly made my Monday, and it also motivated me to summarise the reviews from 4 other customers who have had our outdoor furniture for at least  5 years.  Here are the words they had to say -all of which can be read and viewed if you search my Google Reviews.

1) This customer is based in Christchurch:

“We purchaed ( sp) the Bask Sunbrella® Outdoor Corner Modular Sofa & Coffee Table in Slate Grey back in 2020. 5 years on and this Sofa is still in fantastic condition – including the cushions. We are going to purchase another for a different space.  ”5 -Star Google Review written August 2025

“I bought the bask 2 seater and 3 seater and coffee table almost 5 years ago. We love it and it has truly stood the test of time. The bases live outside permanently and are very durable and hard wearing. Still in great condition, the Sumbrella fabric cushions are so durable and look great. Easy to move and clean. 4) These customer’s words were actually an unprompted text I received from her and I asked if she would replicate it in a review!  

“My husband and I purchased an outside couch from you guys almost 5 years ago and we have been saying how amazing it is!

It has been outside on our deck in rain hail and shine for all of those years, taken on our four children and puppy no problem and it honestly still looks brand new.

We also purchased some wicker chairs for our outside table and leaners for our gin bar – also still look brand!

As a customer shopping around, I know you are looking for peace of mind that the outdoor furniture that you are considering will stand the test of time. You should ask the right questions about warranty etc (here’s a blog I wrote on that), but feedback from actual long-term owners of our furniture is the hard proof you are probably looking for, and I am exceptionally proud of this.

And I’ll definitely prod my friend for that updated picture she promised- Stay tuned!
