Round Teak Dining Table 1.5M in diameter – charcoal base

Designed in-house by Outside Space and unique in New Zealand, this 1.5m diameter round teak outdoor dining table is the centrepiece of our collection. Created for relaxed, social Kiwi entertaining, the circular format keeps conversation flowing naturally across the table, anchored by a sculptural conical base finished in an architectural bone powder-coat.

Handcrafted Pizza-Cut Radial Slats

Rather than running straight timber boards, the tabletop is constructed from individual wedge-shaped slats fanning out from a solid circular teak hub in a precise pizza-cut pattern. Crafted from genuine Tectona grandis (true teak), the dense grain and natural oils provide class-leading resistance to rain, coastal air, and harsh summer sun. The tapered spacing between each radial slat promotes rapid water drainage and accommodates natural timber expansion through changing seasons. Left alone, the honey timber will weather gracefully into a silver-grey coastal patina, or it can be sealed annually to retain its warm golden tone.

Engineered Beneath: Aluminium Sub-Wheel & Conical Pedestal

To keep a large, complex radial timber layout perfectly flat outdoors, structural engineering is non-negotiable. The teak slats are secured directly onto an internal structural aluminium wheel system, locking every piece firmly in place without risk of sagging or cupping. This upper frame bolts directly to a wide-stance conical aluminium pedestal base. Finished in our durable bone architectural powder-coat, the pedestal provides solid stability in high winds while eliminating perimeter table legs entirely—giving everyone at the table total legroom freedom with no knees knocking against corners.

Pricing & Limited Production

The price reflects the extensive hand-assembly, joinery precision, and heavy-gauge aluminium engineering required to produce it. Because of the level of craftsmanship involved, this is a limited-run production piece. We recommend visiting our showroom to see and feel the build quality in person.

Care & Maintenance

Clean the timber top periodically using warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft nylon brush. The powder-coated bone aluminium pedestal can be wiped down with a damp microfiber cloth to remove dust and road grime. Apply a breathable teak protector once a year if you wish to maintain the warm amber tone; otherwise, allow it to patina naturally into silvery-grey teak.
