Add a touch of teak, or a suite!
We build our timber range with proven, high-performing materials selected for harsh coastal salt air and strong southern hemisphere UV.
The foundation of every piece is sustainably grown, FSC-certified Grade-A Tectona grandis teak. Widely regarded as the gold standard of marine and exterior woodwork, this true teak species contains high natural oil resins that resist warping, pests, and rot. We combine our timber with marine-grade 304 stainless steel fittings and rust-free powder-coated aluminium frames on our hybrid dining pieces.
For seating comfort, our outdoor Sunbrella-covered squabs are made with reticulated quick-dry foam cores. This means no waterlogging. They are upholstered in commercial-grade 100% solution-dyed Sunbrella acrylic in ‘Carbon’, complete with a 5-year sun-fade warranty.
Teak is naturally resilient, tactile. Left untreated in the open air, the timber gradually settles into an attractive, silvery-grey patina that looks right at home in modern architectural settings and relaxed coastal baches.
Because wood is an organic material, seasonal shifts in humidity and temperature will cause natural checking—fine hairline splits along the grain. This is normal behavior for authentic timber that does not compromise frame strength. If you love the honey tone of fresh teak, applying a breathable UV teak sealer once a year will preserve its warm color. Our dining sets- tables and benches- are a hybrid slatted teak-top/Aluminium frame hybrid- giving you the best of both worlds..
